Ecological and social Transition
in a culture of human responsibility

Initiatives are emerging and developing in this troubled context, showing with evidence that only a long-term perspective is capable of uniting efforts, pointing solutions to this situation. The notion of ecological and social transition, or transformation of our lifestyles, of production and consumption, seems to summarize the dynamics required. It emphasizes the interconnection of changes to be made, the need for time depth and the ethics of responsibility and solidarity which must prevail in this movement. This is nothing less than inventing the rules of a new “living together”, lying in a dynamic interpretation of society, economy and life.
